Every Saturday afternoon, anyone can take part of a free guided visit of the Brussels Cathedral from 2pm to max. 3.45pm without prior booking. In case of a wedding or a funeral ceremony in the Cathedral, those visits may be delayed. If you are planning a visit, do not hesitate to contact our office (click here) to make sure the Cathedral is available that day.
From June till September we welcome you during the week and week-end without prior booking in the Cathedral but also in other churches as well.
Visit of the Cathedral Towers (only available in French or in Dutch)
A visit at the front towers of the Cathedral can be organized – only by the guides of the towers – upon your request. These 69-meters-high towers are more than 500 years-old and confront the visitors with striking and sometimes mysterious discoveries. The visit will mainly focus on historical and architectural aspects, among them: the romanesque and gothics features, building phases and restoration works, gothic vaults and rooftop, the making of the stained glasses, the bells room. The guided tour culminates on the top of the tower, with a stunning panorama on the City. You can visit the towers from March to October (only on Saturdays for the visit in French). We accept groups of maximum 24 persons. The whole guided visit is about 3 hours. Fee: 10 euros/pp. Pre-booking is required through our office several weeks in advance.
